
NANNY PLACEMENTS | TERMS & CONDITIONS
All placements
- Super Nannies is happy to advise you on all aspects of the process, e.g. deciding what your needs are, interview questions etc.
- Super Nannies do ask that nannies traveling by public transport, to be reimbursed for their traveling expenses,
usually R30 – R40. We suggest at least a 1 day trial period to see how the nanny integrates with your family and how you relate to each other. - Super Nannies offers an ongoing mediation and support service to help maintain a positive working relationship.
- The once off registration fee of R250.00 covers all interviews and 3 trial days. R100 is charged for additional trial days.
- Guarantee: Subject to the full fee paid on or before the due date, Super Nannies offers a full replacement guarantee, for 3 months (90 days) from start of employment. Failure to pay on the due date will render the guarantee void.
- Replacement. If the nanny referred by Super Nannies leaves within a 90 day period (3 months) from starting date, Super Nannies will replace the same position free of charge.
- If the client does not validate the SLA in the first fifteen (15) days of employment, even if the nanny leaves the clients employment within the guarantee period, the client will not be entitled to receive placement candidates.
- All requests for replacements must be made in writing to Super Nannies within 7 days of the last date of employment or before the ninety days (3 months) from start of employment. The client must specify the date the original nanny placed actually left, or will leave the client’s employment.
- The client has a 4 week grace period from the time the replacement request is made in writing, to proceed with the replacement using Super Nannies.
- Super Nannies will replace the nanny at the equivalent salary. If the replacement nanny’s salary is higher than the original nanny’s salary, the client will be liable to pay the difference of the placement fee.
- Super Nannies will provide you with all relevant contracts and paperwork for your nanny’s employment.
- Please note that the nannies are free agents until they start a trial service with a potential employer.
This means we may send a nanny for more than one interview at a time. We work on a first come, first serve basis. If we are in a situation where two potential employers are wanting to hire the same nanny, Super Nannies encourages the nanny to make the final decision. - The subsequent re-introduction or referral to you of a candidate to any other family, agency, consultancy or party within such 12-month period shall not in any way derogate from your obligation to effect payment of the referral fee to Super Nannies.
- Our nanny agency’s mission is to find the best possible match for both employer and nanny, to ensure
a long term, healthy, working relationship. - Terms of agreement: Super Nannies endeavors to match candidates to a job specification outlined on
the online registration form. The final hiring decision will remain the client’s responsibility. - Super Nannies will not be held liable for any loss the client may suffer as a result of employing the nanny or as a result of any action or inaction on the part of the candidate.
- Payment is due within 7 days on receipt of invoice however all fees become due for payment when the nanny introduced commences employment.
Should the invoice not be settled by due date, Super Nannies will request that the “placed candidate” not return to work until settlement has been made or we find the candidate new employment. - The receipt of the terms and conditions as a tick box on the online registration form will signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions when engaging any applicant from Super Nannies.
Temporary placements
- Super Nannies is happy to advise you on all aspects of the process, e.g. deciding what your needs are, interview questions etc.
- Super Nannies do ask that candidates traveling by public transport, to be reimbursed for their traveling expenses,
usually R30-R40. We suggest at least a 1 day trial period to see how the nanny integrates with your family and how you relate to each other. - The registration fee covers all interviews and 3 trial days. R50 is charged for additional trial days.
- Super Nannies offers an on going mediation and support service to help maintain
a positive working relationship. - Super Nannies will provide you with all relevant contracts and paperwork for your nannies employment.
- For short term contracts, Super Nannies prefer payments to be upfront.
- All fees become due for payment when the nanny introduced commences employment otherwise the candidate will be withdrawn from the position.
- Should the Client decide to employ our applicant on a permanent basis during or after a temporary assignment, Super Nannies will then invoice the Client for a permanent recruitment fee, less the temporary fee already charged.The full fee will be applicable in the event of a client engaging any Super Nanny applicant within a twelve (12) month period on receipt on the applicant’s profile document or an interview has been arranged and attended by the Client , or any party to whom the client might have introduced the applicant too.
- Please note that the nannies are free agents until they start a trial service with a potential employer.
This means we may send a nanny for more than one interview at a time. We work on a first come,
first serve basis. If we are in a situation where two potential employers are wanting to hire the same nanny, Super Nannies encourages the nanny to make the choice. - Super Nannies service level agreement does not apply to nannies in temporary positions.
- Our nanny agency’s mission is to find the best possible match for both employer and nanny, to ensure
a long term, healthy, working relationship. - The receipt of the terms and conditions as a tick box on the online registration form will signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions when engaging any applicant from Super Nannies.
Night nurses/nannies
- Super Nannies is happy to advise you on all aspects of the process, e.g. deciding what your needs are, interview questions etc.
- Super Nannies do ask that the night nannies and night nurses traveling by public transport, to be reimbursed for their traveling expenses, usually R30-R40 for their interview.
- The R250 registration fee will cover one trial. There after you will have to pay the agency a fee of R50 for any additional trials.
- The client will pay the night nanny or night nurse directly for her night’s work.
- Super Nannies offers an on going mediation and support service to help maintain a positive working relationship.
- Super Nannies will provide you with all relevant contracts and paperwork for your night nanny
or night nurse if employment is longer than 3 months otherwise the employment is classified
as a temporary position. A fixed term temporary contract is advised for temporary positions. - For short term contracts, Super Nannies insists on payments upfront. Please contact the nanny agent
for our fee and time structures regarding night nurses and night nannies. - All fees become due for payment when the night nanny or night nurse introduced commences employment.
- Payment of our fee must be made within a three (3) day period from the date the night nurse or night nanny commences employment otherwise Super Nannies will withdraw the candidate from the job.
- Should the Client decide to employ our night nanny or night nurse on a permanent basis during or after a temporary assignment, Super Nannies will then invoice the Client for a permanent recruitment fee, less the temporary fee already charged.
- The full fee will be applicable in the event of a client engaging any Super Nanny candidate within
a twelve (12) month period on receipt on the applicant’s profile document or an interview has been arranged and attended by the Client, or any party to whom the client might have introduced the applicant to. - Please note that the night nannies and night nurses are free agents until they start a trial service with

Covid-19
- As the employer, you are obligated in terms of law to take reasonably practicable measures to provide and maintain a working environment that is safe and without risk to the health of your nanny.
- At Super Nannies we have provided basic information to our candidates on the COVID-19 virus, and we have provided recommended steps that can be implemented, in order to mitigate infection. Your nanny will take such reasonably practicable steps that you may wish to implement in your home and in order to eliminate or mitigate any potential COVID-19 infection. Under no circumstances whatsoever, shall Super Nannies be responsible and/or liable should your nanny have, (or contract at any time) the COVID-19 virus, or should he/she not implement the recommended steps or other precautionary measures to mitigate and/or prevent infection.
- If there is a reasonable apprehension that your nanny may have been exposed to COVID-19, a temperature check may be conducted. Your nanny’s privacy should be respected when conducting the test, and the test must be done with his/her informed consent. Similarly, if you request that your nanny is tested for COVID-19, his/her informed consent must first be obtained.
- If your nanny has been diagnosed with COVID-19, he/she will be required to be isolated in accordance with the Department of Health Guidelines, and in such circumstances, your nanny is entitled to apply for sick leave during his/her absence from work. Should you wish your nanny to only return to work when he/she has undergone a medical evaluation which confirms that he/she has been tested negative for COVID-19, you will be required to arrange and pay for such test. Your nanny shall be entitled to retain the medical certificate. In terms of law, you, as the employer, cannot discriminate against your nanny on grounds of having tested positive for COVID-19.
As an employer, you should familiarise yourself with all applicable South African legislation, including where you are required to pay monthly contributions, as a result of employing your nanny.
